Competition Maps
The competition map is a UTM map covering the flying area as determined by GAL. The UTM grid displayed on the current map is for UTM Zone 11. In fact, the eastern 4 - 5 km of the map is in UTM Zone 12. Creating a UTM map with two zones is a little tricky, and a skill I need to (re)learn.
What the above means is that if you fly (or drive!) into UTM Zone 12, the UTM coordinates displayed by a GPS device will not match the map.
I MIGHT be able to produce a correct two zone map before this year's event (competition) begins.
The ZIP files below include PZ and target files.
